Baroque

I recently saw this beauty of a bomber jacket appear on the ever so trustworthy Miss Guided website. Most girls will know this is the go to place for on trend things if you are needing to budget. It is perfect for when pay day seems a distant memory and you need that fashion fix! If you are like me, you get that urge to buy something weekly.... not good!

Although not the warmest item, it is perfect for layering on a night out and gives that bit of glam. Its made from a silky material which is great for evening time. I adore the colours as I am a sucker for anything gold/silver. Love that bit of shimmer! The pattern is very intricate and you have to look quite close to see what is actually printed - which I love as it adds interest.

These leather joggers are definitely a new favorite of mine. You can dress them up with strappy heels for a bit of sports luxe, or go casual and pair with trainers like I did here. Black converse are a must have item for me! These joggers are extremely comfy and make a change from the ordinary jeans or leggings. I will most certainly be pairing them with a black sheer blouse and heels very soon!

90s Child

Sweater - Primark
Leggings - Urban Outfitters
Boots - Linzi
Bag - Ebay
Hat - H&M

The Spice Girls, Clueless, Sabrina the Teenage Witch, N sync ... whats not to love about the 90s?

In order to show my appreciation of the current Nineties trend which is absolutely everywhere on the High Street and on the catwalks, I thought I would come up with an outfit which represented the Nineties child. This red jumper is very bright and screams danger - a little bit of fashpo from Dennis the Mennis don't you think? It reminded me of the school jumpers from primary school which everyone switched to during the chilly months! and the fabric is unbelievably cosy, and has a fluffy lining which is very much needed!

I am very much a fan of the whole Nineties thing that's going on,  and Topshop are really showing off at the moment with their stock. From fluffy angora jumpers in candy colours, PVC minis and heaps of tartan, It really is like walking into the on set wardrobe of Clueless. It is just a shame I do not have the funds to purchase the whole store. Boo! And Speaking of Clueless, it has been playing on the TV nearly every week lately which I am very pleased about.

Stone and Ice

Coat - Marks and Spencer
Leather T-Shirt - MissGuided
Coated Jeans - Zara
Boots - Linzi
Necklace - Myflashtrash.com
Ring - H&M
Nail Polish - Essie

There is nothing like crisp white sheets, white modern decor and of course white leather. White is very hard to maintain, but when it has its crispness, it is beautiful. I love the connotations of white - its purity and innocence. A blank canvas.

I centered this outfit around my white leather T shirt which I recently snapped up from Miss Guided. I love its clean sharp edges and its ability to be paired with most things in my wardrobe. This coat is actually stolen from my mums wardrobe. I have always had my eye on it and was over the moon when she handed it over to me! Its actually from Marks and Spencers believe it or not, and is old season. Must of been purchased a few years ago now, but it is still in amazing condition and perfect for this winters over sized coat trend. Mum could not of given me this at a better time!

All white is very risky, but too cute to pass on wearing. However, I would avoid going on a night out in all white. Wine stains are not pretty.

I wanted to jazz it up a bit and add a pop of colour, so I put on my mint blue statement necklace which I ordered online a few weeks ago and I am very pleased with it... £12 is all it cost me. I always find a statement necklace gives clothes that expensive look. I am actually obsessed with buying jewels at the moment and have been scouring the internet everyday. I love how a new necklace can transform an old outfit without having to go out and buy new clothes!

Frills N Thrills

Top , Topshop
Skirt , h&m
Necklace , Topshop
Shoes, Zara

Seeing as we are in October and having some very strange, but LOVELY mild temperatures, I decided to make the most of my summer items before they get demoted to the back of my wardrobe. It will be sad putting these sandals away! I have worn them a hell of a lot.

However, there is a slight chill in the air so I thought it was appropriate to throw on a light summer knit.
I love this Jumper and its granny Chic - ness. The lace and yellow really compliment each other and I adore this sunny lemon hue . I'm not one for sticking to dark shades even through winter, I really am a sucker for bright colours.

This mermaid hem skirt has not been worn a lot I must say. I purchased it from H&M at the start of the year. I thought it looked quite expensive, as the material was very thick. However, I have not got much wear out of it. I'm kind  of regretting that now and wish I digged it out my draws earlier on. You know them draws stuffed with clothes you just don't wear. (or have worn once!)
I'm sure everyone has those right?!
But I really liked it paired with my sandals. perfect for a meal or drinks on the town!

Staples

Top, Topshop
Leather Skirt, h&m
Sandals, Forever 21
Necklace, h&m
Clutch, Zara

Just a little fact of the day about myself... I'm not one for being sensible with shopping, For example, buying things I don't really need/and or lacking versatility. I usually just grab things that catch my eye. I often get drawn in by patterns and bright colours, so last week i decided I needed to turn myself into a savvy shopper and buy some items that can be mix and matched.

Now this does not have to be boring! Its all about putting the right accessories and turning it into something completely unique. The iconic example for this post has to be the one and only Kate Moss. She really does nail understated style.. Her Kate Moss for Topshop collection really reflected her style well. There were lots of statement pieces like feather boleros, embellished dresses and trophy jackets, mixed with staples such as black skinnies, loose t shirts and vests. All the key ingredients for the perfect day to day wardrobe. ( and of course partying weekends )

So with a little inspiration from Moss and a trip to westfields, I treated myself to a few staple pieces I knew would have a place in my wardrobe for a long time.
I have never really gone for stripes, but i really liked the fit of this cropped style and of course the comfy bagginess.

and yes. my shiny clutch is back yet again!!! that's what you call recycling fashion eh?

Summertime Sadness

Now that Summer has come to an end we are drawing close to October (boo), it gives me the perfect excuse to pull out the Fur Gilet. I must say, although I will miss the sun, I do love winter clothing. Fur is one of my favorite things to wear. Its cosy, warm and great to just throw on over to pop out. Now this one with no sleeves is perfect for slowy edging into the trend, to avoid looking OTT when it is still fairly mild out. You know... those kind of cardigan day temperatures?
Fur can make you look and FEEL very bulky, so its best to avoid wearing a huge woolly jumper underneath!. Especially after Christmas time... do not want to end up looking like you have gained more pounds then you already have! Ha. So here I teamed it with a loose tea dress in a light and airy fabric.

I cannot stop wearing these cut out boots at the moment. They go with just about everything in my wardrobe, and look amazing with cute ankle socks! Fishnet ones look very cool too. They are very chunky indeed and take a while to get used to especially when you are petite like myself! but never the less I still adore them! My dear old mother on the other hand is not so keen, her first reaction was "hooker boots" Thanks mum!
But anything Grunge/90s is a great purchase in my opinion.

This holographic clutch has been worn to death over the past few months. I'm sure people are getting sick of seeing me with it! but I truly have got my moneys worth. Its so versatile, easy to hold, and very roomy for all my bits and bobs on nights out. I love how it makes a statement and looks great with anything from an LBD to jeans and a T-Shirt. It even got mistaken as an Ipad case the other night.

Dusty Pink

Out of all the trends for Autumn/Winter 13, my ABSOLUTE favorite has to be the gorgeous shade of dusty pink. A little bit 60s, a little bit barbie - its just great. This marshmallow shade looks amazing when combined with camel and pale grey. It also suits any skin colour, so its versatility earns some brownie points too!
I love how some designers showcased the pink on over sized cocoon coats and masculine tailoring. Creating the perfect combo, to cleverly avoid becoming too girly. Celine, Topshop Unique, Rochas all gave us a taste of this pretty shade. I will definitely be purchasing some form of clothing in this colour, I already have my eye on a coat and skirt ! This trend will brighten up the winter shopping spree, a change from classic black and grey. I have also been admiring some high street online websites, which have been pairing the pink with leather leggings and chunky boots.

I have been searching online for a while and I must say the pink coats seem very difficult to get hold of! Marks and Spencer had the most PERFECT style/shade, but unfortunately it was limited edition and sold out within days .... :(
However, I managed to find a stunning pink coat from hobbs in a Cherry Pink and a Silver Topshop shift dress, which I will be swooning over until payday !!

Hamsa Shimmer

I have always had an obsession with everything metallic, and when I spotted this pleated camisole in a shimmery silver I had to get my hands on it. I love the way its very light and allows you to wear metallic during the day, as too much shimmery fabric can be overpowering and too "disco like". Like they say - everything in moderation. I teamed it with my vintage light washed Levi`s because I liked the way the blue hues were similar and rather complimentary.
I also threw on my silk kimono/robe which I got a few years back, anything floaty I can swish around in is a winner.
My necklace has the Hamsa symbol on which I am sporting a lot at the moment. I even considered getting it as a tattoo because I loved it that much. Ha! But i took the less risky option and bought loads of jewels instead!

Spring Prints

The gorgeous sunshine which is casting over London at the moment has put me in a very good mood and i am very excited to get my pins out and start wearing summer clothes! It has been a very long and cold winter, and to show my enthusiasm towards the sun I have decided to show you fellow fashion fanatics a very bright and bold summer look!
I loved the sixties vibe of this dress, with the mini hemline and bold geometric print. Also, I am not very tall and so the shift style silhouette is very flattering for me! I decided to pair it with a pair of black simple strappy heels which I have wearing to death, and a contrasting clutch.
